SIGHT AND LIFE Publications
SIGHT AND LIFE supports scientific research, organizes workshops, awards education grants and provides educational materials such as books and brochures. These major publications address the information needs of health workers, scientists, representatives of governmental/nongovernmental agencies and the media. Perhaps the most far-reaching of SIGHT AND LIFE’s knowledge-based initiatives is the publication of the SIGHT AND LIFE Magazine, which carries news, features, letters and editorials on nutrition and health-related projects and research activities – supported by SIGHT AND LIFE or otherwise – from on-the-ground practioners as well as leading experts and policymakers in public health and nutrition. Through the Magazine, SIGHT AND LIFE seeks to provide faster access to new and reusable knowledge and insight to people at all levels of practice from people at all levels of engagement in the fight against Hidden Hunger.
In addition to the Magazine, SIGHT AND LIFE publishes field-adaptable manuals and books and produces movies and documentaries on key Hidden Hunger issues. Leveraging on the wide exposure made possible through the global circulation of the SIGHT AND LIFE Magazine, SIGHT AND LIFE also collects and distributes relevant publications and other useful tools from other organizations. Currently, manuals on vitamin A deficiency and nutritional anemia, and a documentary on the double burden on malnutrition are among the wide range of available materials.
The information products made available by SIGHT AND LIFE are aimed at making it easier for individuals or organizations working to improve nutrition to develop and adapt teaching tools to local needs, as well as to acquire sufficient knowledge to take the most effective action in the least amount of time. All of the above mentioned publications and educational products are available for download, free of charge, in electronic formats from this website or to be requested for mailing in their physical formats.
