The success of the second meeting of the Micronutrient Forum was due to contributions from many individuals and organizations. The US Agency for International Development, through the A2Z Micronutrient and Child Blindness Project (A2Z Project) at the Academy of Educational Development, and the Local Organizing Committee led by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Chinese CDC), organized the meeting. The hospitality of the Local Organizing Committee was exceptional and the meeting participants enjoyed opportunities to learn about micronutrient deficiencies and programs in China as well as enjoying the local sights and cuisine. The A2Z Project gratefully acknowledges major financial contributions from the Chinese CDC, ILSI Focal Point in China, SIGHT AND LIFE, and Amway China. Other contributions were provided by Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), Coca-Cola Company, PepsiCo, Unilever Food and Health Research Institute, Kraft, WIN (World Initiative for Nutrition) & Fortitech, Inc., and BASF. The Micronutrient Forum Secretariat and the A2Z Project appreciates SIGHT AND LIFE’s support in publishing the meeting report in this magazine and distributing it to all the meeting participants.
