Besides regular basic food sup plies, the KNH-supported nutritional supplement powder Nutrimix, fortified in Kerala, South India, was introduced for children. In 2008, a survey was carried out by German Doctors  ommittee for Developing Countries to assess the nutritional status of defined risk groups in order to evaluate the  efficiency of current support and define features for further structured assistance. The intention and future perspective is to fill the gap between a society highly motivated for self-im provement on the one  hand and the political difficulties in obtaining UNDP assistance on the other.
