This report presents the results of a year-long project, sup- ported by Sight and Life and implemented by the Helpless Rehabilitation Society (HRS) from November 2011 to October 2012 in the north-east of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. The project targeted preschool-aged children between 2–6 years old from among indigenous, underprivileged groups of Nepalese carpet factory workers, and its major objective was to improve their nutritional status and prepare them for school enrollment by creating awareness amongst factory owners and mothers.
