Towards a Latin America Free of Malnutrition

The Nutrition XVI Latin American Congress organized by the Sociedad Latinoamericana de Nutrición (SLAN) was held from 12 to 16 November 2012 in Havana, Cuba, and attracted 1,601 delegates from 36 countries. The conference was well attended by scientists from universities and research institutions covering the length and breadth of the Americas and fr om many international organizations too. The greatest number of delegates were fr om Mexico (26%), Brazil (22%),Cuba (12%), Argentina and Colombia (9%).
