Sight and Life vision is a malnutrition-free world, where science-led solutions and sustainable business models are amplified to not just uplift the world’s most vulnerable populations but enable them to be self-reliant. Sight and Life is Switzerland based foundation. Two years ago we embarked on a journey of implementing our strategy in-country and on the ground. As consequence, our operations become concrete and action oriented. This requires active Finance execution.

 

Sight and Life is an independent organization. The role is dedicated to Sight and Life foundation, while being functionally supported by dsm-firmenich.

 

ABOUT THE POSITION

Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for implementing and monitoring Sight and Life’s financial strategy and ensuring financial activities. In support of the Leadership Team, the Manager is responsible for budgeting and accounting, audit, compliance, contract oversight, as well as supports communication with donors: reporting, audits. The role will build up new accounting and finance function in line with the above mentioned focus on in-country implementation. The role interacts with and supports growing number of donors & their requirements. We are looking for an experienced professional, independent leader.

 

The role is located in Basel area, Switzerland.

PASSIONATE

• Partnering with Project Directors, e.g. budgeting Projects
• Cash Flow forecast/management
• Develop & implement relevant policies
• Communication with donors, reporting to donors
• Present to the Board

 

HANDS-ON

• Invoicing/Accounting management
• Monthly Closing and Reporting
• Fiscal responsibility (work with BDO/KPMG)
• Banking (invoices, managing cash)
• Periodic internal audit

• Connects with the projects and their leaders on the ground
