

Janvier brings over 15 years of progressive experience in public health programme management across Rwanda, with deep expertise in nutrition, WASH, maternal health, and social behaviour change (SBC). He joins Sight and Life as Program Manager for the MMS programme in Rwanda, where he will lead implementation, stakeholder coordination, and capacity building efforts to improve micronutrient supplementation outcomes for women and children.
Prior to joining Sight and Life, Janvier served as WASH Portfolio Manager at USAID Rwanda, where he led USAID’s flagship initiative to improve WASH services in rural Rwanda. He has also held senior technical roles across leading international organisations in Rwanda, contributing to improved maternal and child nutrition outcomes, strengthened health systems, and advanced social behaviour change programming.
Janvier holds a Master of Public Health and is fluent in English, French, and Kinyarwanda. Outside of work, he enjoys watching football, playing volleyball, and spending time with people — a reflection of the community spirit he brings to everything he does.

Key Achievements:
- Successfully managed USAID’s WASH Portfolio to improve Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene services in rural areas of Rwanda.
- Designed USAID’s flagship WASH financing project to address policy, legal, and regulatory challenges, mobilising public and private investment in WASH and climate resilience
- Led the development of Rwanda’s National Integrated Nutrition and WASH SBC Strategy (2018–2024) — a government-adopted framework guiding community nutrition and maternal health behaviour change programming nationally.
- Mobilised multi-donor investment through strategic partnerships and innovative financing mechanisms.
- Built and sustained 15+ institutional partnerships with government, private sector, and civil society; represented programmes in 30+ high-level policy and coordination meetings nationally and internationally.
